Our Story

Akanksha’s journey into the world of cancer care and nutrition is one of passion, dedication, and a deep-rooted desire to make a difference in the lives of those battling cancer. A brilliant student throughout her academic career, Akanksha was always the class topper, eventually graduating as the university topper. Her pursuit of excellence led her to the prestigious Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), where she honed her skills and developed a strong foundation in social sciences.

After graduating from TISS, Akanksha embarked on a successful career in the corporate world, securing a high-paying job that promised a bright future. However, her heart was set on something greater. Driven by a strong sense of purpose and an unyielding urge to help others, she made the courageous decision to leave her corporate career behind and dedicate herself to a more noble cause.

Akanksha further enhanced her ability to support patients by becoming a trained member of the Indian Cancer Society (ICS). She undertook rigorous training at their headquarters in New Delhi, where she learned to provide emotional support to cancer patients. As a core member of the ICS, she became deeply involved in initiatives that offer both emotional and practical assistance to those in need. Over the past six years, she has been dedicated to helping patients through her work with the ICS.

In addition to her work with the ICS, Akanksha has shared her knowledge and passion through various channels. She has written numerous blogs on oncology nutrition and wellness and has served as a motivational speaker at corporate events and medical institutions such as Max Hospital, further extending her impact and influence in the field.

With her sharp intellect and unwavering commitment, Akanksha pursued a Post Graduate Diploma in Nutritional Oncology and recently achieved another significant milestone by securing her IGMPI PGD in Oncology Nutrition with an outstanding score of CGPA 9.93/10.  Recognizing the critical role that nutrition plays in the treatment and recovery of cancer patients, she founded Beat Cancer, a platform dedicated to providing personalized nutrition and wellness support to those in need.

Beat Cancer is the realization of Akanksha’s vision—a place where cancer patients and their families can find tailored guidance, support, and hope. It stands as a testament to her dedication to helping others, transforming her knowledge and experience into a resource that empowers people on their journey to recovery. Akanksha’s story is one of inspiration, a reminder that with the right mix of intellect, compassion, and determination, we can truly make a difference in the world.
